Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is adamant on his drive to maintain law and order and make UP a crime-free state. The CM held a video conference meeting with officials of 14 districts regarding the progress in resolving public grievances on Thursday.

He warned the officials that strict actions will be taken against anyone found neglecting or delaying in the processing of the complaints filed by the people. He said that FIRs filed should be addressed immediately and arrests should be carried forward as soon as possible regardless of any discrimination and any laxity regarding this will not be tolerated at any cost.

During the meeting, he held a discussion with the officials about 67 pending cases and also took the feedback from the complainants registered by the people. Yogi gave the deadline of July 31 to clear all the pending cases till 30 June. He also spoke about the issue of deaths due to starvation saying that, starvation deaths were offensive for any cultured society and if any such casualties happen in UP, the District Magistrate (DM) would be held responsible for it.

The meeting lasted for 3 hours.
