Sharad Pawar Stands Firm, Says “No Question of Alliance With BJP”

Sharad Pawar

Minutes after Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar‘s tweet in which he claimed that Sharad Pawar is their leader, the NCP Chief took to twitter to clarify his stand and said that there is no question of forming alliance with the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP).

Accusing Ajit Pawar of misleading people, he said, “There is no question of forming an alliance with BJP. NCP has unanimously decided to ally with Shiv Sena & Congress to form government. Shri Ajit Pawar’s statement is false and misleading in order to create confusion and false perception among the people.”

Hours after joining the Bharatiya Janata Party in a coup and taking oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar was removed as the Nationalist Congress Party’s legislature unit.

Earlier, NCP President Sharad Pawar also issued a clarification on Saturday and said, “Ajit Pawar’s decision to support the BJP to form the Maharashtra Government is his personal decision and not that of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). We place on record that we do not support or endorse this decision of his.
