Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is being deprived by his own members after he broke the grand alliance with RJDCongress and formed the new government in the state in alliance with BJP.

Sharad Yadav who was one of the building members of JD(U) decided to go on the path of rebellion after Nitish took the decision of joining hands with BJP. Amid the political turmoil going in Bihar, the need of the hour for Sharad is to form a strong political formula which can help him give a tough competition both to Nitish Kumar and Narendra Modi.

Sharad Yadav began his political career with the JP movement and has always been fighting for social justice. Not only this, he always stood up for the interest of Dalits, OBC and minorities. In such a situation, Sharad wants to build his political model around these principal’s and ideology only. As an alternative, he has three options to choose from as his political model, now it is up to Sharad which model he chooses out of the three or he all together builds a new build comprising the characteristics of the other three also.

His first option is to build a formula on the basis of the JP Model, Sharad had stepped into politics after being impressed with the views of Jayaprakash Narayan and registered his first victory under the sign of Haldhar Kisan in 1974. After that, he totally engrossed himself in the JP movement and also stood against the emergency for which he also went to jail. JP was totally against the then ruling policies of Congress, today the Congress is not in power, it is the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi against whom Sharad is planning to march. In this scenario, Sharad has an option of forming his party on the basis of the JP model and unite all the opposition parties against BJP and Modi.

The second option for Sharad can be to build the formula on the basis of VP Singh model. During his term as the Prime Minister, VP Singh had opened the way for OBC reservation in the country by implementing the Mandal Commission’s recommendations. Sharad has very closely lived and observed this model and this can be one of the reasons, where Sharad can retain the VP Singh model and unite the OBC society against Modi and Nitish.

Kanshi Ram model can be the third political formula for Sharad Yadav. Kanshi Ram had struggled for a long time to raise political consciousness among Dalits, OBCs and minorities and later he laid the foundation of Bahujan Samajwadi  Party, who is currently under the leadership of Mayawati. Under the Kanshi Ram model, political representation of Dalits increased in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra and many more. Sharad can also adopt the Kanshi Ram model and move ahead on his political path.

The fourth option that Sharad Yadav can go with is to adopt the principle’s and ideologies of all the three models and form a fourth new model. By merging the ideology of all the models he can count on the anti-BJP cooperation through the JP model, OBC cooperation from VP Singh model and Dalits and minority cooperation from the Kanshi Ram model.

Sharad Yadav has convened a meeting of anti-BJP parties on Thursday, in which leaders from many parties will be present including the leaders of socialists, leftist RJD etc. Rebel expelled JD(U) leader Ali Anwar said that by uniting all the anti-BJP parties Sharad Yadav wants to form a model through which he can stand against Modi and safeguard the heritage and democracy of India. He further added that “we have the options of all models that from Ambedkar to JP Narayan, VP Singh, Kanshi Ram and can even form a new model which will represent the ideologies of all these model.”

Bihar politics and even may be in Indian Politics, a new chapter will be added after the meeting called by Sharad Yadav on 17 Aug just two days ahead of the national executive meeting of JD(U) held by Nitish Kumar on 19 Aug.
