sharad yadav being slammed

The cold war between Bihar Chief MInister Nitish Kumar and JD(U) senior leader Sharad Yadav seems to be growing day by day. Sharad has more than once expresses his disappointment on Nitish’s decision of breaking the grand alliance.

Nitish recently formed the new government in alliance with BJP in Bihar after breaking up with RJD and Congress. His decision though calculated on his part was a major jolt for Congress and RJD. Sharad Yadav who had been representing Nitish in all opposition’s formal and informal meetings also felt betrayed by Nitish. Since then the rift between the two has been expanding, and the possibility of Sharad quitting JD(U) is also very much likely.

Recently a move of Sharad indicated that he is now openly opposing Nitish when he congratulated the Congress candidate Ahmed Patel on his victory in the Gujarat Rajya Sabha Poll. Nitish also showing his disapproval on Sharad’smoves expelled Arun Srivastava, who is considered close to Sharad, from the post of party’s general secretary on the grounds of him voting for Congress candidate during Gujarat Rajya Sabha polls.

Another major step that Sharad is taking towards parting with the party is just 10 days ahead of the JD(U) party meet he is set out on a three-day public interaction programme to know the reactions of people on the break up in the grand alliance starting from Thursday. will visit at least 28 places, including Darbhanga, Supaul, Saharasa, Muzaffarpur and Madhepura. His first halt will be at Sonepur town, a few kilometres away from Patna. He had represented Madhepura, where he would stay on August 12, at Lok Sabha.

While reacting to the three-day interaction programme JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar told ET that this is a personal programme and JD(U) has nothing to do with it.
