What is change.org?

It is a petition website operated by for-profit Change.org, Inc. (American certified B corporation). The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California. The website provides a platform for the general public to create their own petitions.

Today, Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also addressed the media on the matter. He said that the decision taken in the case was the collective responsibility of the government. How can a single person be targeted for it?

Speaking to the media, Manmohan Singh said, “If the officers are not at fault, it is beyond our comprehension how the Minister who simply approved the recommendation can be accused of committing an offense. If the Minister is liable for approving a recommendation, the whole system of government will collapse.

On the previous day, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh along with Karti Chidambaram visited the Tihar Jail to see P Chidambaram. P Chidambaram was arrested on August 21 by the investigative agencies on his alleged involvement to the INX media case.

Expressing his gratitude to the gesture of party leaders, P Chidambaram thanked his visitors over social media.
