In an exclusive interview with youtuber Kunal Kamra in his show ‘Shut up Ya Kunal’ deputy CM of Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot and Mumbai Congress’ president Milind Deora discuss the present political scenario and how they stand a chance to win the 2019 polls.
In the interview, Sachin Pilot says that even though they won Rajasthan in the previous elections they were actually expecting better results in Rajasthan.
Milind Murli Deora, president of Congress Mumbai, said that in the case of the Ayodhya issue a party should not be talking about their opinions about something before the SC and should obey the verdict of the Supreme Court as it comes up.
In a response to ‘dynasty politics’, Sachin Pilot explains how they felt this was the right time to bring about Priyanka into the picture and that’s why they thought of making her contest.
Sachin goes on to state that they do not consider BJP as their enemy, and is just a competitor to them in the upcoming polls. Milind also talks of the present economic policies of the government as being not reform oriented. Talking about the Hindu terror and Sanatan Sanstha, Sachin Pilot say that ‘let the law enforcement make a probe on the issue’ and that they wish to keep mum on the issue.
They say that on scams like the 2G, they miserably failed to tackle the BJP’s propaganda by not being able to clarify their views on the subject.
Sachin opines that there are good and corrupt people in both parties, it is not particular to any party. “I believe that there are a large number of people who are really disappointed with the government,” Milind Deora states ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking to News 18 in an earlier interview Milind Murli Deora said how it is only the Congress party that can bring about development in Mumbai. He is presently preparing for the general elections as he will be contesting from South Mumbai. Milind Deora had won the seat twice in 2004 and 2009, but failed miserably when the BJP came to power in 2014 and gave the seat to Shivsena.
