Ahead of the results of the national polls, Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury in a bid to discuss the post-poll strategy met Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday.
The meeting between the bigwigs is seen as an effort to cobble an alternative non-BJP government at the Centre if the ruling party fails to reach the magical figure.

Andhra Pradesh CM Naidu, once an ally of Bharatiya Janata Party, is currently making efforts to bring all parties under an ambit against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after the declaration of results on May 23.
Naidu had met leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, and Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati in Lucknow. TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu also met NCP chief Sharad Pawar, CPI leader Sudhakar Reddy, and Loktantrik Janata Dal leader Sharad Yadav.

Chandrababu Naidu, once an ally of BJP, is among those who are spearheading the efforts to stitch Anti-BJP Front. Naidu had in Jan-Feb this year has toured the country extensively seeking support against Bharatiya Janata Party. He had met Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, Sharad Pawar and many other leaders in his effort.
