Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had slammed the Centre by bringing out issues of Rohith Vemula suicide case, Dadri lynching case and demonetisation drive while speaking at DR. B.R. Ambedkar International Conference.
He allegedly blamed that Rohith Vemula a Dalit Ph.D. student at the University of Hyderabad did not commit suicide on the grounds of discrimination, but he was drastically murdered by the indignities he suffered.
Rahul also alleged that most of the institutions in the country have been captured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the bureaucrats and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Rahul also brought up the Dadri lynching case. He said that instead of questioning the brutal killing of Mohammad Akhlaq for he stole a calf, questions like whether the meat in the fridge was mutton or beef, were being asked.
Targeting the Modi government over demonetisation Rahul said that publically the move was called a master stroke but privately it was called insanity.
Responding to all these allegations made by Congress Vice President, Union Minister Smriti Irani sarcastically tweeted a thank you note to Rahul Gandhi for all that he said and did. “However, thank you @officeofRG for all that you do. Sincerely from the BJP! the tweet read.
