The Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has called for an all-party meeting on January 28. This comes a day before the President Ramnath Kovind will address the joint sitting of the two houses.

The government at centre has also called for an all-party meeting on January 28. Parliament Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar has called an all-party meeting on January 28 in the Parliament. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the meeting. The party leaders will voice their concerns and issues in both Houses during the session.

Budget Presentation

The Budget Session of Parliament will work from January 29 to April 6. The first phase will commence on January 29 and end on February 9. The Budget Session of the Parliament will see the placement of Economic Survey on January 29 and the Union Budget on February 1. A recess is provided from February 10 till March 4, post which the session will conclude on April 6. It will be interesting to see what is in Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s case this time as he presents the first Budget in the post-GST era and the last before 2019 Lok Sabha election.
