NDA candidate from Thrissur, Suresh Gopi says hopes of winning general elections. He mentions how he hopes to get votes out of the political margin as he is an actor himself.
Actor-tuned-politician Suresh Gopi says he hopes to garner more votes because of his celebrity status and states that people will remember the good films he did and that will indeed be a way for him to be a successful politician. He says he had to do more hard work as he had come last for the election campaign.
On his contest in the general election he said, “the National Secretary of the party, on the directions given by PM Modi, had called me…and requested me to contest in the elections and I agreed”. the Thrissur seat will have a hard election contest with TN Prathapan of UDF, and Rajaji Mathew Thomas of LDF. He joined BJP in 2016.
His opponent Rajaji Mathew Thomas had however said that it is common to get the crowd gathered when there’s a filmstar. This would not turn into votes however, he had said.
He said he hopes that the help he provided the poor people in terms of trouble will definitely turn into votes.
