Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Spokesperson Lanka Dinakar on Friday cleared the air on speculations and reports about the party roping in Prashant Kishore‘s political consultancy firm IPAC days after it suffered a crushing defeat in the recently held national polls.

Calling it as a rumor, TDP spokesperson Lanka Dinakar said, told ANI that, ‘Our party boss N Chandrababu Naidu is reviewing and introspecting the party’s defeat in the national polls and state polls. While as far as the reports about roping in Prashant Kishore and its political consultancy IPAC, its just rumors and propaganda’.

He further said that TDP has yet not taken any call on this. He added that Telugu Desam Party is a cadre-based party and does not need any political consultancy to reach out voters.

TDP in the polls suffered a huge defeat in Andhra Pradesh. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP in recently held polls registered a landslide victory in both assembly and national polls in the state. YRSCP won 151 assembly seats out of the 175 assembly seat in the state and unseat Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP Government. While 23 seats bagged by TDP and one seat bagged by Pawan Kalyan‘s Jana Sena Party.

While in national polls, YSRCP bag 22 Lok Sabha Seats out of 25 seats in the state.

Prashant Kishore and its political Consultancy firm IPAC is one behind YSRCP and Jagan Mohan Reddy’s landslide victory in the recently held state polls and national elections in Andhra Pradesh. Kishore, JD-U VP, also met West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and reportedly he might help Mamata in West Bengal for upcoming state polls.

Prashant Kishore in the past has designed campaigns of many political parties and is credited for PM Narendra Modi massive victory in 2014. He has worked for JD-U in Bihar, Congress for Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. Kishore is known for his innovative strategic campaigns to reach out voters.
