In another jolt to Andhra Pradesh ruling party Telugu Desam Party, it Spokesperson in adjoining state Telangana shifted his loyalties to Telangana ruling party TRS on Tuesday. Telugu Desam Party who had inked an alliance with Congress and other allies in Telangana State Polls held last year has not fielded candidates in Telangana for the Lok Sabha polls. The N Chandrababu Naidu-led party will back the Congress in the state that has 17 Parliamentary Seats.

The Andhra Pradesh ruling party over last few months have suffered major losses and defections in the party with many of its lawmakers changing outfit in a run-up to the mega battle of ballots.
Among the major loses that the party has suffered is MP Nama Nageswara Rao who swap to TRS from TDP. The TRS has named him from Khammam Lok Sabha constituency, which he had represented on TDP ticket.
Earlier in March, Sandra Venkat Veeraiah, now, a former legislature of the TDP(Telugu Desam Party) on switched his loyalty to the TRS(Telangana Rashtra Samiti). He was one of the 2 legislators that TDP had out of 119 seats in the assembly.
While In Andhra Pradesh, the ruling party has also suffered huge losses in the form of leaders including Pandula Ravindra Babu, Amalapuram MP, Chirala MLA Amanchi Krishna, Anakapalle MP, M Srinivas Rao, former MLA and film actress Jayasudha, and leaders like former MLA, Challa Ramakrishna Reddy, amongst many others, joined the Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress Party ahead of State and Lok Sabha Polls.
Chandrababu Naidu in the state is seeking another term in the Office. State Polls in Andhra Pradesh will be clubbed with General Elections and will go to polls on April 11. Telangana will also poll on April 11 for all 17 Lok Sabha Seat of the state.
