After targeting former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav‘s son Tejashwi Yadav, now his second son Tej Pratap Yadav is on top of the list.

The newly formed NDA government led by Nitish Kumar has issued fresh notices to investigate about the alleged soil purchase scam at the Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park in Patna during Tej’s tenure the environment and forest minister.

Newly appointed Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi on April 4 had alleged that soil used for the construction of basement of an upcoming mall near Saguna Mor was purchased by Patna zoo for Rs90 lakh without inviting any tender. He also alleged that Tej Pratap and Tejashwi were on the board of directors of Delight Marketing Company Pvt Ltd (now Lara Projects LLP), the owner of the two-acre land of the mall.

Regarding the fresh probe in the case, a forest department official said the principal chief conservator of forests had submitted fresh files related to the purchase of soil to the department. Chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh on April 6 had demanded all the documents related to the soil purchase and the procedures followed, from the forest department for further investigation.

After through examination Anjani on April 21 said that no evidence of a scam was found in the investigation of the soil purchased by Patna zoo. He added that the firm from whom the soil was purchased said that the soil was taken from five different locations. As per the latest updates, further documents had been sought from the forest department and more investigation regarding the purchase of soil by the firm is ordered.

Tej Pratap Yadav is like to face trouble if the investigations reveal anything otherwise of the former environment and forest minister.
