Bihar Leader of Opposition and Rashtriya Janada Dal (RJD) effectively number 2 Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday junked the media reports taking round claiming the breaking on Bihar’s Grand Alliance after poll disaster.

Speaking to media after the meeting with the Grand Alliance Leaders, Yadav, former Deputy CM termed this claims as rumors. He added the talks about the disintegration of Bihar’s Mahagathbandhan are false and are just rumors.

Tejashwi who led party in the recently held polls further claimed that the alliance in the state is very much intact. ‘We will face the further challenges together’, Tejashwi Yadav said.

Expressing surprise over poll results, he said we were not expecting such results. He claimed that there were hardly any crowd in poll rallies of Nitish Kumar, Ram Vilas Paswan and Sushil Kumar Modi.

Yadav who held a meeting on Tuesday will Lok Sabha Candidates, said that a committee has been formed to look out shortcomings and where we we went wrong. He said winning and losing is a part of elections and democracy.

Launching attack on BJP-led NDA, RJD Leader said that voters have been misled by the National Democratic Alliance. ‘They have not fought the elections on people agenda’, he added.

Responding to a query by a scribe on absence of Congress Leaders from the Grand Alliance meet, Yadav said, ‘Congress party has invited us for the meeting in Delhi, where election results will be discussed. We are in touch with Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Ahmed Patel and others. We will participate in the meeting there’, he said as quoted by ANI.

RJD who led the opposition alliance comprising CongressRLSPJitan Ram Manjhi‘s HAM, among others faced a humiliating defeat in the national polls concluded on May 23. It has lost all the 20 contested seats including Misa Bharti who was pictched from Patliputra Seat.

RJD who was a part of Congress alliance in Jharkhand also faced a defeat in the state where it had contested on one seat.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Led NDA won 39 out of 40 Lok Sabha Seats in Bihar. While the five party alliance managed to get only one seat of Kishanganj. Dr. Mohammad Jawed of Congress won Kishanganj seat with a margin of 34,466 votes.
