Amit Shah addressing rally at Karimnagar, Telangana

BJP president Amit Shah has said that the reason of early elections in Telangana is because the current CM K Chandrasekhar Rao was too afraid of PM Modi to let the elections take place with the Lok Sabha elections in April/May 2019. He said this while addressing a rally at Karimnagar on Wednesday.

Accusing the government of incurring loss and putting burden on the people for early elections, he said, “This decision placed a financial burden of hundreds of crores on the poor people of the State”.

He further targeted the government of not fulfilling the promise in the state and said, “The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) government made 150 promises in 2014, but has not implemented a single one”.

With a hint of arrogance, the BJP Chief said that only BJP is the alternative. He was quoted as saying,” Whether the Congress (I) under Rahul Gandhi was an alternative to KCR. “Can Congress (I), TDP of Chandrababu Naidu or even Mahakutami be an alternative to fight the TRS? No, only the BJP can”.

“They are all busy in ‘break in India’ while the Prime Minister is busy in ‘Make in India’,” he further added. While inciting people against AIMIM and Owaisi he said that only BJP can liberate the state from the “clutches” of (AIMIM leader Asaduddin) Owaisi”.

The BJP chief said, unlike KC Rao’s government who have stopped celebrating Hyderabad Liberation Day due to fear of Owaisi, BJP if voted to power, it will celebrate the day on a grand scale.

Targeting KCR further he said the government had not implemented Ayushman Bharat scheme launched by the Centre to provide health insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh each to the poor families. He also criticized TRS government to provide 12% reservation to minorities, saying this would cut into the quotas of OBCs, SCs, and Sts.

Referring to the immigrants he said that while BJP tries to throw out infiltrators from the country, the Congress, TRS, TDP, Communists, and others want them to stay. He also appealed the people to bring Modi government to power at the Centre.

The state will conduct the polls on December 7 and the results will be out on December 11.
