TMC Leader and a Minister in Mamata Banerjee’s West Bengal Cabinet Partha Chatterjee on Sunday launched a scathing attack on BJP and accused them of using MHA for ‘Political Conspiracy’. Addressing a press conference over the issue of Ministry of Home Affairs advisory to the state government, Chatterjee accused BJP of spreading violence.

He said, ‘Leaders sitting in Delhi are not understanding the situation of West Bengal. Children and Yadavs are Killed in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh – both BJP-ruled states, where were BJP then, have they raised the issue.

Further slamming BJP, Chatterjee said BJP is creating an atmosphere of fear killing our workers. They (BJP) does not believe in Democracy.

His statement came after MHA issued an advisory to the West Bengal Government on Sunday. MHA expressed concern over the death of people in post-poll violence between BJP and TMC.

MHA in the advisory asked the West Bengal Government to take action and ensure the law and order in the State. It further asks to take action against officials found delinquent in the discharge of their duty.”

Responding to MHA Advisory, West Bengal Government in response wrote a letter and stated that the law and order situation in the state is ‘Under Control’.

The clash between two political groupings occurred after the removal of BJP’s flag in
Sandeshkhali Assembly constituency of North 24 Parganas on Saturday.

BJP leader Mukul Roy has alleged that four BJP workers were shot dead by the members of TMC.

While Bharatiya Janata Party Leader Mukul Roy launched a sharp attack on Mamata Banerjee and TMC-led West Bengal Government saying there is no democracy left in the state.

Terming the state police role as unfortunate, Mukul Roy raised questions over the role of State Police in not allowing to take the body of deceased BJP workers to party headquarters.

BJP leader Mukul Roy has alleged that four BJP workers were shot dead by the members of TMC. While TMC has said that its party workers are also killed in the clash between the two factions.

It should be noted that TMC Boss Mamata Banerjee had a bitter spat with PM Modi during the campaigning of the national polls. While the polls saw massive incidents of violence and clashes between TMC and BJP.
