Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has started its election campaign for its 2nd assembly elections in Bhongir constituency in Nalgonda district. The campaign was attended by P Shekhar Reddy, MLA candidate from Bhongir constituency which was held at Rahimkhan Gudem of Bibinagar Mandal. The campaign was also attended by MLC A Krishna Reddy.

Attacking the alliance of Congress with Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which is called Maha Kootami, Shekhar Reddy asked people not to get into the trap of opposite ideologies of Congress and urging people to vote for TRS. Terming his party ‘people-friendly’, he appealed to people to vote them to power once again.

In a bid to deter people from voting to Congress the leaders called Congress an opportunist party and said that the state might face trouble if the Congress party comes to power.

The MLA from Bhongir, Mr. Shekhar Reddy also mentioned his achievements in development of the constituency in the last four years and asked the people to show their support by voting them so that their constituency can become an example in the state.

The campaign was also attended by the Yadava community leaders of the village. Among the other TRS leaders who also took part in the program were G Pingal Reddy, G Bal Reddy, MPTC Ravi, party mandal president Ashok, party village president M Satyanaryana, leaders Balaraj Goud, Swamy, Narahari, Narsimha.

Last week TRS had started programmes on unanimous resolutions by different caste organisations who pledge to vote for the TRS, the first one being the Gurralagondi village in Chinnakodur Mandal. The party workers were also ordered not to let the leaders of other parties enter the village. However, in a recent setback some youth from Malkapur village has refused to pass any unanimous resolution to vote for TRS.

The state assembly was resolved by the CM earlier this month, almost 8 months before the completion of its term. The state was ruled by K Chandrasekhar Rao led TRS who is now acting as the care taker chief minister. The polls are likely to be held by December this year.
