Narendra Modi and Donald Trump held discussion on the most gravest problem faced by the mankind during their meeting at the Whitehouse on Monday. They had detailed talks about the fast spreading terrorism across the world and vowed to strengthen cooperation against terror outfits like Jaish-e- Mohammad, Lashkar-e-Taiba and D-Company.

After the meeting in his statement to the reporters Foreign Secretary, S Jaishankar said counter-terrorism was a major issue that was discussed between Trump and Modi during the day.

The two leaders urged Pakistan to ensure to the world that it will not give shelter to any terrorist nor give support to any terrorist activities operating from the grounds of Pakistan. It also pleaded Islamabad to bring to justice the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai, Pathankot, and other cross-border terrorist attacks.

Prior to the meeting Hizbul Mujahideen leader, Syed Salahuddin was given the title of a global terrorist by the US. This move of the US is in itself a diplomatic victory for India and it also shows that the US is committed to completely remove terrorism.

Both the leaders agreed to take work together to stop the trade of mass destructive weapons and their delivery to the terrorist. They also said that steps will be taken to deny the access of these weapons to terrorists and non-state actors.
