TTV Dhinakaran‘s Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) has announced its candidates for the by-polls to be conducted in Tamil Nadu in May 19.

TTV Dhinakaran’s Amma Makkal munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) announced its candidates for the by-polls. The elections held on April 18 were asked to be reorganised because of the irregularities in elections held. Sulur in coimbatore, Aravakurichi in Karur, Tirupparamkundram in Madurai, Ottapidaram in Thoothukudi are the four constituencies conducting by-polls.

Mahendran is AMMK’s candidate in Thiruparankundram, whereas Shahul Hameed is contesting from Aravakurichi in Karur. From Sulur the AIADMK candidate and MP K Sukumar is contesting whereas MLA R Sundarraj is contesting from Ottapidaram constituency.

AMMK spokesperson CR Saraswati said, “TTV Dhinakaran has been unanimously elected as AMMK’s secretary. Also, as informed to the supreme court our candidate, a decision to take steps to register AMMK as a political party was also taken today…the post of president of would be allotted to our leader V K Sasikala soon after she is released. The party was started by TTV Dhinakaran after being expelled from AIADMK.
