Union Cabinet to meet today under chairmanship of PM Narendra Modi

A meeting of Union Cabinet under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to meet today afternoon in the national capital. The meeting will be held at Parliament Annexe Building at 1 PM.

Union Cabinet in its earlier meetings has cleared Bill that proposed to set-up an interstate River Water Dispute Tribunal in a bid to resolves water disputes in a time-bound manner, Triple Talaq Bill and other critical bills.

In his first Union Cabinet meeting that held on May 31st, Union Cabinet chaired by PM Modi gave gree signal to all landholding eligible farmer families to avail benefits under PM-KISAN Scheme that proposed to give financial assistance of Rs. 6,000 in three installments.

Meantime, PM Modi is also slated to meet party MPs in the age group of 46 to 57 years. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned a total of 7 such interactions with PM Modi. This will be PM Modi’s sixth interaction on that line. The party has divided its MPs into seven parts and planned seven interaction of MPs with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In his initial interactions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met party Parliamentarians belonging to the OBC, SC and ST categories, Women MPs and those who were ministers once.

The interaction with PM Modi has been planned to encourage MPs of both the houses by giving them the opportunity to directly interact with the prime minister.
