Coming back to action mode days after party registered a massive victory in recent national polls, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday directed all divisional commissioners and municipal commissioners to look after Swachata Abhiyan and directed them to prepare a detailed project report for the AMRUT City Scheme.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath on Monday held a review meeting in the state’s capital Lucknow. Speaking in the review meeting, Adityanath giving stress on sanitation directed all the present officials to plan out a month-long campaign regarding the sanitation.

Chief Minister added that all ministers and ministers-in-charge will review the status of sanitation and cleanliness in their districts in the last leg of the month.

In a review meeting, the Chief Minister also stressed on the issue of polythene and it was decided to ensure that the use of polythene is completely prohibited in the state.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also said that the Kanha Upvan located in Lucknow should be revamped. Simultaneously, the Chief Minister set a target of 30 Lakh trees to be planted for the Urban Development Department.

It should be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party, on May 23 scripted history once again by bagging 303 seats on its own in the recently concluded national polls. Along with its allies, it took its tally to 352 Lok Sabha Seats out of 542 Seats were national polls held in April-May in seven phases.

In Uttar Pradesh, BJP bagged 62 seats and with its ally Apna Dal (Sonelal) it took its tally to 64 seats out of the 80 Lok Sabha Seat. While Mahagathbandhan bagged 15 seats – BSP 10 and SP 5 – while Congress only managed to retain its bastion Rae Bareli.
