Vasundhara Raje filed her nomination papers on Saturday in Jhalawar secretariat

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje  filed her nomination for the upcoming state Assembly Election 2018 at Jhalawar secretariat on Saturday.

Before filing the nomination, Raje went to seek blessings in Shri Raadi Balaji Temple in Jhalawar.

She is contesting the election from her home constituency of Jhalrapatan. She was accompanied by BJP minister Shahnawaz Hussain, son Dushyant Singh and daughter in law Niharika to the secretariat.

She also took out a road show from Jhalawar to Jhalrapatan where a huge crowd of BJP workers were present.

In 2013, the BJP under Vasundhara Raje had won a humongous 163 of the 200 assembly seats in the state.

Meanwhile, Congress in Rajasthan has released its second list of Candidates where it has pitched Manvendra Singh against CM Raje. Manvendra Singh, who joined the Congress party in September this year over alleged humiliation by BJP will contest the assembly elections from Jhalrapatan.

Rajasthan Assembly Election 2018 will take place on December 7 in single phase. The counting of votes will take place on December 11, 2018, along with four other states—Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram.
