In a seminar organised by BJP’s unit in Delhi on Sunday, party spokesperson Sambit Patra accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of using minority appeasement agent just to win 30% of the votes in the region. These comments come as, Basirhat district of WB is witnessing communal riots, triggered by an objectionable Facebook post by a 17- year boy.

“It’s such an inferior thinking. They can sell the country for securing power,” Patra said

Wishing not to elaborate much on the topic, he just said that words like ‘Ramdhanu’ (rainbow) and neel (blue) are constantly being used by the West Bengal government in a different context for the purpose of the appeasement of the minorities. He accused the government of plotting conspiracy to change the mindset of the people in West Bengal.

Patra also said that since Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to build India to new heights and give new dimensions to the nation, WB being against Modi is targeting conspiracy against him by playing dirty politics.
