Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar, on Sunday asserted that his uncle and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) party president Sharad Pawar is ‘their’ leader. He also said that he is a part of the NCP.
He said, “Our BJP-NCP alliance shall provide a stable Government in Maharashtra for the next five years which will work sincerely for the welfare of the State and its people. There is absolutely no need to worry, all is well. However a little patience is required. Thank you very much for all your support.”

Nationalist Congress party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar, who on Saturday was sworn in as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, returned to his private residence near Churchgate in Mumbai in the early hours of Sunday.
But the question is, could Ajit Pawar make a move so audacious without the consent of Sharad Pawar? Who has done the ultimate power play here?
