Winter Session of Parliament begins today; List of important bills government can introduce

The winter session of Parliament has commenced from today which will go on till 13th December 2019. It is supposed to be the 250th session of Rajya sabha and on 26th November, it will mark as the completion of the constitution’s 70 years.

The session held by BJP led NDA Government is supposed to introduce 27 new bills where the opposition coming more strong than ever aims to question the country’s government and the issues.

Prime Minister Modi on Sunday said that special events and activities were being planned to mark the 250th session of the Rajya Sabha. He emphasized that the 250th session provided a unique opportunity for highlighting the unique strengths of the Indian Parliament as well as the Indian Constitution. He further said Government is ready to discuss all issues within the framework of rules and procedures of the Houses.

Union minister for parliamentary affairs, coal, and mines, Pralhad Joshi said on Sunday that while 27 Bills will be taken up for introduction, consideration, and passing, 2 Bills are pending in Lok Sabha and 10 in Rajya Sabha for clearance.

Important Bills on which the Opposition and Government will debate:

These were some of the major Bills of 2019, which will be the center of attention. Although, The Opposition is more likely to raise issues of J&K Situation, Economic Slowdown,  Unemployment and the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.
