Yogi Adityanath has been declared as the next CM of Uttar Pradesh. The announcement was made after a meeting of BJP legislators held at lucknow. Yogi Adityanath will take oath as the chief minister on Sunday, reported ANI.
After a whole day of rumors and speculations, BJP finally announced the name as the meeting concluded in Lucknow. Adityanath was considered the front runner ever since Manoj Sinha had ruled himself out of the race to be the CM. Keshav Prasad Maurya was the other name in consideration, however, BJP legislators finally decided on the name of Yogi Adityanath.
Ever since the meeting of BJP MLAs started, supporters of Yogi Adityanath were present outside the premises and shouting slogans in favor of Yogi. Also, in the day time, Yogi Adityanath traveled to Delhi to meet BJP president Amit Shah and that further strengthened the rumors of him being the front runner for the post of CM.
