The Yogi Adityanath‘s government presented its first budget which targets a 10% growth rate in Uttar Pradesh over the next five years along with keeping a sharp focus on central schemes.

Under ‘Swadesh Darshan Yojana’, which aims to develop sites connected with Lord Ram and Lord Krishna, it has allocated nearly Rs 1,240 crore for developing the Ramayana tourist circuit in Ayodhya, Buddhist Circuit in Sarnath and Krishna Circuit in Mathura.

Under Prasad Scheme, It will center its focus on developing cities like Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Mathura by spending ₹800 crores on projects including a river cruise and laser show in Varanasi.

Yogi Adityanath has said that by giving the ₹36,000 crore farm loan waiver, they have not put any new burden or tax on the common man and they will stop unnecessary expenditure and plug leakages to save money. His government is laying stress on the Centre’s schemes and has allotted budget for them. Like it has allotted ₹3,000 crore for PM Gramin Sadak Yojana (double than last year); ₹3,255 crore for Swachh Bharat (Rural) and ₹1,000 crore for Swachh Bharat (Urban). They have also fixed a target of creating “70 lakh opportunities of employment and self-employment” in the next five years.

This is the biggest budget in UP at ₹3.84 lakh crore.
