As a part of housing scheme, Over 10,000 flats in Narela and Bawana will put on for sale this month by the Delhi Development Authority(DDA), said a senior official. The scheme will only have one-bedroom flats in the lower income group and economically weaker section groups. Two-room middle income group and high income group flats are not yet complete.
The schemes will be launched, after the land owing agency will place the proposal in the next meeting in mid-february, for permission from the lieutenant Governor, said the officials. ” We want to launch the scheme before enforcement of the Model of Conduct, so we will be putting the proposal before the authority in the next meeting,” he added.
Around 10,000 flats have been readied, said DDA V-C Tarun Kapoor. Pitampura, Paschim Vihar, Rohini, Dwarka, Vasant kunj and Jasola Vihar flats could not be incorporated in this year’s scheme and will put up for sale next year, other Officials said.
Earlier the agency planned to launch 20,000 flat in this years scheme, but stuck at 10,000 because of water supply problems in some, while others are yet to be completed, he added.
Date for general Elections has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be held in April-May.
DDA does not want to risk its housing scheme this time, and stuck to sale onlu those flat that have all the conveniences. In 2014 scheme, around 8,500 allottees had returned their flat saying they were not ‘liveable’.
The DDA on Tuesday also launched its online portal for land-pooling policy.
