Well just hours after Google, WhatsApp too experienced a similar global outage yesterday.
Yesterday, Google had faced worldwide outage issue, users went out on social media and twitter posting and sharing images of mails not landing, not able to send emails, not able to log in on their Gmail account. Not only Gmail but the issue was spread across Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Meet.
Similarly, Facebook’s WhatsApp also suffered a global scale outage. Users were not able to send or receive messages, login to their existing account, or create a new account.
Unlike Google, WhatsApp has yet to report a problem.
DownDetector analyzed that Google is having problems since 1:16 AM EDT. Google said that they were adding a fix to the problem which caused this. By evening everything was restored. Google also apologized. They added that system reliability is a top priority at Google.
Talking about WhatsApp, DownDetector states 66 percent of WhatsApp users faced connecting issues while 30 percent were unable to send or receive messages.
According to WABetainfo, the issue was caused due to some server problems.
Well, maybe the excessive use of WhatsApp had caused problems. Maybe there was an excessive load on their server which caused this. We can state many reasons with a ‘maybe’. The real reason will be known only when WhatsApp issues any statement regarding this issue.
