Instagram has launched a redesigned version of the IGTV app today. It hopes to attract more people to use this service and promote the creators through long-form videos. It updated the app in such a way that the homepage can easily accessible.
A three-button navigation bar is identified when the app is initially opened. The redesigned app highlights the creators.
The updated app is also getting the Discover tab in action with relevant IGTV content along with hands-free recording mode.
The Discover tab may be the best update. Users can watch videos from popular and the following list. The Discovery tab makes the user barely touch the screen by its autoplay and encouraging users to use the app.
Instagram supports IGTV by installing an update by which users could post 15 sec of IGTV video as their Instagram story. This could get people’s attention and thus, give more views for the creators.
Instagram didn’t state the number of app users, But out of 10 million reviews given for Instagram, there are only 1000 reviews on AppStore and 2,5000 reviews on Google play for IGTV. Even then it is surprising to see the regular attention given to IGTV.
IGTV thinks people having trouble finding the videos, and that might be the reason for the lower rating for this platform under that Instagram is now interested in taking feedbacks from the users.
Instagram stated that IGTV maybe “future of video,”. Instagram belives users could find content to watch. It is also essential to make it successful.
