The competition is increasing for this platform because Instagram recently announced that it is adding a new feature “Reels”, that is similar to Tiktok. So, to get one step ahead of Instagram, Tiktok is testing a new feature. Now Tiktokers can add links to other websites in their bio.
While TikTok has accumulated more than 1 billion users worldwide, influencers currently don’t find it as profitable as sites like YouTube, where influencers can make ad revenue from posts. With this new feature, Influencers can add a direct link to products in their bio. The new feature will also users add links of e-commerce sites directly into uploaded videos.
A spokesperson from tiktok told Business Insider the platform is “always experimenting with new ways to improve the app experience for our users. Ultimately, we’re focused on ways to inspire creativity, bring joy, and add value to our community.”
