The multiple-device feature is being considered as the biggest update on the WhatsApp messaging platform this year. The company has tested the feature for multiple times. Recently, a report stated that the feature is in the final stage of testing. New aspects of this feature have been seen in the beta version of WhatsApp. The functional test is still.left to be done.
A website named WABetaInfo stated that the multiple-device feature will be available soon for users of the beta version. Some screenshots of the feature has shown the feature in action at the desktop client of WhatsApp and the Android version of the app.
The screenshots showed the WhatsApp Wen client downloading chats to function without the requirement of the primary device to remain connected to the internet. The report stated that users would be able to use 4 devices simultaneously when the feature makes it to the beta version and then to the stable version.
The screenshots of the Android version showed the option of enabling multiple-device support. This also ensured that the feature can be turned on or off depending on the need of the user. It is not yet confirmed whether WhatsApp would provide this facility after the update makes it to the stable version.
Another feature was also seen which allowed users to change the wallpapers of individual chats. This was also seen in the iOS version and now it is being tested on Android.
The wallpaper feature allows users to choose a different wallpaper on the basis of the existing theme of the app. When user chooses a default wallpaper, the platform would ask if they want to download the official wallpaper application.
