WhatsApp recently announced a slew of features. The app rolled out disappearing messages, Always Mute, WhatsApp Pay and other features. According to the latest reports, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will let users mute their videos before sending them to their contacts or putting them up as status. Along with that, WhatsApp has also rolled out advanced wallpaper and disappearing messages feature for Android users.

According to Webetainfo, WhatsApp has started to develop a mute video feature. The new feature on which WhatsApp is working has appeared on one of the beta updates. Webetainfo said that after enabling Advanced Wallpaper features and Disappearing messages, WhatsApp is now working on new features. The next feature that will be released in the future will allow users to mute videos before sending to contact or status updates.

Along with this, WhatsApp is working on a new feature known as Read Later. Features tracker has noted that this feature is the replacement of the Archives Chats feature. “Read Later” is an enhanced version of “Archived Chats” which also includes the Vacation Mode to keep in user’s archive all archived chats, even when the new messages arrive. Also, when a chat is on user’s “Read Later”, they won’t receive notifications from it.

A screenshot was shared by WeBetaInfo where WhatsApp explained the feature in a bigger way. The WhatsApp banner reads – “Archive is now Read Later”. According to the Facebook-owned messaging app, the feature helps to reduce interruptions and chats with new messages will stay in its place and users won’t receive any notifications.

WhatsApp will also add an Edit button in the Read Later section. With the help of this button, users will be able to edit their archived settings. Users can also select chats and more chats at once to quickly unarchive them and edit Archive Settings to change how archived chats work. By using the Edit button, users can move chats to Read Later section.

The features are under development and no official announcement has been made by WhatsApp regarding their release. It has appeared in Android Beta updates. It will be available for users in the future if the company plans to roll out the feature.
