Apple launched Airpods Pro on October 30th And within 3 weeks, it dropped first firmware updates for the product as well. The version, that Airpod came with, was 2B584 and now users can update it to 2B588. The small change in number suggests that the update comes with minor bugs fixes, Although there is no word from Apple on what has changed from this update.

Users do not have to download this update. The update will automatically be installed on Airpods when the user will connect it to the iPhone. While updating the AirPods Pro, users need to make sure that the wireless device is connected to its charging port and the power socket is on. Both the device should be within the required range while the update is being installed.

To check the firmware of your ‌AirPods Pro‌, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone, iPod touch, or ‌iPad‌.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap About.
  4. Scroll down to ‌AirPods Pro‌ and tap it.
  5. The firmware number is listed under “Firmware Version.

AirPods Pro is available India through Apple Authorised Resellers on Apple devices running iOS 13.2 or later, iPad OS 13.2 or later, watchOS 6.1 or later, tvOS 13.2 or later, or macOS Catalina 10.15.1 or later.
