People who are using Microsoft Edge browser on Windows and Android device, there is some good news for them. Microsoft has now introduced the ability to sync tabs in the mobile version and Windows version of the browser. The new feature is at present rolling out in beta and has an option that lets users sync their history across different versions of the browser.

Windows Central has stated that the feature was noticed by a user who had an Edge Beta with version 45.11.24.5118. According to a few shared screenshots, the user received the update on 11th December. This also means that the new features might roll out for everyone in the upcoming few weeks.

For using this feature, users have to enable History and open Tabs Sync in Edge. For that, they have to open the browser on their Android device and head to the Settings. After that, they just need to tap on their email address and tap on Sync. They will be able to see options for Open Tabs and History, which needs to be checked. Once it is done, users have to restart the browser and wait for the pages to sync.

At present, Edge allows users to sync different content on the browser which includes form data, password, favorites and collections. By adding the option to sync the history makes it seamless to open a website that has been viewed by the user on a certain device and then open it instantly on the other. The Edge browser has a feature that allows users to send open websites from their mobile to their PC but syncing of tabs makes it easier to sync many pages among devices instead of opening them one by one.

The report also points out that the Settings page that shows options for syncing tabs, favorites and other content also has a checkbox for syncing payments though it is not available right now. This also means that Microsoft is at present working to introduce the ability to sync user’s payment options among devices through Edge. This will be a good touch, mainly after the Tab Group Collapse and Auto Create features.
