WhatsApp is the most popular Social media plateform for any Operating system. This Facebook-owned application releases new updates with new features from time to time. The recent WhatsApp update comes with an inbuilt fingerprint lock feature. But the latest Whatsapp update has been a headache for some users.

In the past three days, a lot of users have complained about battery draining issues in WhatsApp. Most of the One Plus smartphone owners have complained on various social media platforms. Some people suggest that WhatsApp version 2.19.308 is drastically draining their phone’s battery. People are complaining about this issue on Reddit, Play Store, Twitter.

Many one plus users have reported the battery draining issue in OnePlus forum, According to them, this problem is occurring on devices running on Android 9 and Android 10.

This issue has not just been reported on One Plus devices. People are reporting the same problem on various smartphones such as Google Pixel 4, Huawei P20 Pro and some Xiaomi devices. A user Matrix009917 says on Reddit “Same issue in s10e… after several updates and after having reinstalled it seems to be fine”.  Users are reporting that WhatsApp is draining almost 70% of their battery in just half an hour. There are some users as well who do not have this issue on their smartphone.WhatsApp solved the battery draining issue with a new update version 2.19.327
