Three cool new keyboard/input related features to come with the Windows 10 update
There are a lot of rumors and news going around regarding the Windows 10 update. Well three of them have been confirmed. The Windows 10X is a much-anticipated OS which will soon feature on the single screen PCs in 2021.
Microsoft is aiming to bring something unique for dual-screen monitors in the Windows 10X. The Windows 10X for the single screen is most likely to come before the Windows 10X for dual-screen.
Till then we will see some Windows OS updates and in the upcoming updates, Microsoft is going to add three new features namely, Emoji Picker, Voice typing, revamped touch Keyboard.
Voice Typing is being brought in the new update. This will work for both, normal and virtual keyboards. It will support typing anywhere where there is a text field. It also comes with auto-punctuation so no worries of punctuation. You can speak freely and let the machine do the work.
You’ll be able to access the feature using the WIN + H keyboard shortcut or by tapping the microphone icon on the new touch keyboard.
Now talking about Emoji picker, a new search bar has been added to search your favorite emojis and gifs. It will also give you access to your clipboard and store your recently used emojis and gifs.
The virtual keyboard has also been revamped a bit. It now features updated key sizes and layouts, plus a new keyboard button on the taskbar to invoke the virtual keyboard on any PC.
There will also be an emoji/gif section, clipboard above your virtual keyboard. So it will be easier to select emojis without switching your qwerty setup.
All these three updates are gonna come soon in any update. Microsoft has yet not given a release date for them so it’s just a waiting game now. All three features are mostly keyboard-centric. Microsoft is trying to improve the ways of giving inputs to your machine indirectly. And also trying to make users’ lives easy.
