Abhishek Sharma recently got his first-ever call for the Indian team.

He received selection for the India tour of Zimbabwe.

Many youngsters have the chance to prove themselves in the T20s.

The main team just came back after lifting the ICC T20 World Cup.

They were given rest for some time, and the youngsters were given a chance.

In the series, Shubman Gill will lead the team.

Abhishek Sharma after giving an outstanding performance in the IPL.

He has been outstanding in opening with Travis Head for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Seeing his performance, he is given a chance with the Indian team.

Match Details

The second T20 was to be played on July 7th in Harare.

India won the toss and elected to bat first.

India Innings

Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma open the innings for India.

Abhishek started to play great shorts as Shubman lost his wicket.

Ruturaj came in to bat as he and Abhishek started to play big shorts.

They were hitting great boundaries and forming a great partnership.

Soon after, they both completed their half-centuries and kept on going.

Abhishek Sharma completed his maiden T20 century with a beautiful six.

After that, the firing-ending knock by Rinku Singh with 48 runs in 22 balls took India to 234/2.

Zimbabwe Innings

Innocent Kaia and Wessly Madhevere opened the innings for them.

In the first over, Mukesh Kumar bowled Innocent, giving them a quick breakthrough.

In his next over, he bowled Brian Bennett, who was hitting great shots.

Avesh Khan, in the next over, took two wickets, pushing back Zimbabwe.

After that, wickets started to fall in short intervals of time.

No batsmen of the Zimbabwe team were able to stand in front of the Indian bowling.

They lost all their wickets to a score of just 134 runs.

Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan took three wickets each, and Ravi Bishnoi took two.

Abhishek Sharma was chosen as the player of the match.

For his maiden century, he became the first Indian to reach his century by hitting three continuous sixes.
