Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians played against each other in match number 44 of IPL 2022 at DY Patil Academy, Navi Mumbai.

The last time they played against each other was in match number 9 in which Rajasthan Beat Mumbai by 23 runs. After consecutively winning their last 3 games Rajasthan will be looking forward to another one in their bag whereas Mumbai is still looking for their first win in IPL 2022.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bowl first. The great in form Royals came out to bat to set up a high-scoring match and register their fourth win. The Royals started great there were frequent boundaries, and the Indians got a chance of caught out as they dropped it. Soon they got the wicket of Devdutt Padikal, but the run rate of the Royals wasn’t stopping, the bowlers of Mumbai were looking good as they took another wicket in the form of Sanju Samson and after that even stopped the batsmen of Rajasthan to score many runs.

The form of Jos Buttler was unstoppable as another fifty came out of his bat as he even hit four back-to-back sixes to Hrithik in the 16th over, but he even took his wicket in the last ball.

Mumbai did their homework well by stopping the great batting line-up of the Royals at just a total of 158 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

To win their first match, Mumbai had to chase down the runs. As the second Innings started and some great shots by Ishan Kishan. The bad form of Rohit Sharma continued as he lost his wicket soon enough there was the wicket fall of Ishan the Indians yet seemed in trouble.

Surya Kumar Yadav also known as SKY stood for his team as the outstanding fifty by him and the partnership of 81 runs by him and Tilak Varma brought their teams close to the victory.

At last, the great knock by Tim David of 20 runs in just 9 balls made his team register their first win. Daniel Sams finished off the match in style by smashing a six.

After a long wait, Mumbai Indians finally had their win in the IPL 2022. Surya Kumar Yadav of Mumbai Indians was selected as the Man Of The Match for his brilliant knock of 51 runs.
