Ravichandran Ashwin

Ashwin is having a rough time with the ball from his last couple of ODI internationals for India. The off-spinner has not been in a good form in the Champions Trophy 2017 . He was dropped from the playing XI for India’s first match, against Pakistan, and was not seen in the game against Sri Lanka as well. However, he was picked in the team against South Africa where he took one wicket and in the match against Bangladesh, he was not able to send any batsman to pavilion.

His bad form haunted him in the final match against Pakistan too. He was not able to pick a wicket in the final and instead, went for 70 runs in his 10 overs. This was his worst performance ever as he has never given so much runs without picking any wickets.

Even Jadeja, who is India’s highest wicket-taker in Champions Trophy history, did not find himself effective in the finals and gave 67 out of his 8 overs. Even he showed his worst performance ever in Champions Trophy. In the previous matches, he had taken 4 wickets.
