Asia Cup 2022 is the 15th version of the Asia Cup cricket tournament.

The matches will be played in Twenty20 format from 27 August to September 11th in UAE.

Asia Cup was to be organized in Sep 2020 but was postponed due to the Pandemic.

Sri Lanka was to be the original host of the tournament but due to the Political Crisis going on in Sri Lanka it is shifted to UAE.

In total there will be six teams between whom the Asia Cup will be played.

Five of them are India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

The sixth team was decided based on qualifiers which were played between Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore, and United Arab Emirates.

Hong Kong topped the list as they won all the matches and qualified for the Asia Cup.

Asia Cup Winners

India has won Asia Cup seven times and was runner ups three times and has lost all three finals against Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka has won five times till now whereas Pakistan has won only two times.

India is the defending champions of the Asia Cup.
