The Australia Women became the ICC Women’s T-20 World Cup champions.

The ICC Women’s Championship was going on in South Africa.

Today the final match was going to be played in Cape Town between Australia and South Africa.

Both of them were from the same group, Australia was in the first position and South Africa in the second.

In the semifinals, Australia faced India whereas South Africa faced England.

The Australian Women won the match against India by five runs and made their way to the final.

The second semi-final was played between England and South Africa.

South Africa won the match by six runs.

The final was to be played between South Africa and Australia.

Match Details

The final was played in Cape Town on February 26th.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first.

Australia Innings

Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney opened the Innings for them.

They both gave a great start to their team as Alyssa lost her wicket.

Beth kept on going from one end while wickets in short intervals kept on falling from the other end.

She soon completed her half-century and kept on scoring runs.

Because of her knock of 74 runs Australia reached a total of 156/6.

Shabnim Ismail and Marizanne Kapp took two wickets each.

South Africa Innings

Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits opened the Innings for them.

The Australian Women soon gave them their first breakthrough in the form of Tazmin.

Laura didn’t let the hopes go away as she kept on going.

She even completed her half-century and kept on going.

While going on she lost her wicket to Megan Schutt.

In the end, South Africa Women weren’t able to chase down the total.

As Australia Women won the match by 19 runs.

By winning the match Australia Women also became ICC Women’s T-20 World Cup Champions.

By winning the T-20 World Cup the Australian Women’s team won their 13th World Cup.

Beth Mooney was chosen as the Player of the match.

Ashleigh Gardner was chosen as the Player of the series.
