Babar Azam will be the skipper of the Pakistan Cricket Team in all the 3 formats confirms a top official from the Pakistan Cricket Board.
During an interview, the chief executive officer of PCB Wasim Khan stated that Babar will remain the captain as long as he and Ehsan Mani are a part of the PCB board. The reason behind the decision is that Babar is mentally really strong and a really good batsman who wanted to take the responsibility of the team on his shoulders.
Babar is here to stay for a long time as confirmed by the top official of the PCB board.
The young batsman is getting better each day and with the potential of having a good future, the PCB board has appointed him as the captain. They also find him mentally strong after testing him in white-ball cricket.
Khan added that Azhar Ali did his best but now it’s time and let go and think about the future and this is why he was also made the test captain of the team.
Before starting he was clear for the job Ehsan Mani had a conversation with Babar.
Lastly, he concluded by saying that Babar has assured us that the pressure of captaincy would not affect his batting performances.
