Indian Team is the defending champion of ICC Champions Trophy after it had won the tournament in 2013.

Speaking in the sidelines of CEAT tires annual award functions, R Ashwin said that he had been working on some new variations in his break and hopefully, he will be able to execute them in the upcoming tournament. He also added that the two warm up games against New Zealand and Bangladesh will give a chance to prepare for the tournament in those conditions.

Speaking of the changed rules in ODIs, Ashwin stated that the game demands to try out new every-time you are on the field. Use of two new balls and field restrictions demand the best out of a bowler and one needs to keep on improvising according to the changing trends and needs of the game.
