DILIP VENGSARKAR TO BE THE NEXT CHAIRMAN OF MCA

MUMBAI: Former Indian Skipper and Middle order batsman Dilip Vengsarkar has now become the Chairman of Cricket Improvement (CIC) of Mumbai cricket association. He replaced Raju Kulkarni to become the new chairman.

Previously, Vengsarkar Re-signed from the post of chairman of MCA following the supreme court’s verdict that barred him from continuing as per the Lodha Committee.

Not only Kulkarni but there are other people who will not be the part of MCA. Former Domestic stalwart Amol Muzumdar and EX Mumbai opener had already quit the panel. CIC which is under the supervision of MCA is responsible for the appointing coach and selectors for Mumbai age teams.

According to sources, MCA tried to bring back Raju on its position he didn’t change his mind,” I am Resigning as the MCA seems to be directionless When we at CIC decided to back the selectors, why was our decision overturned? This is no way to treat former cricketers of repute. Moreover, none of our ideas/suggestions were implemented by the MCA. There’s no point in discussing anything constructive when you know we have no powers to implement it and it’s going to exists only on papers”.

He also thanked the MCA, who gave him a chance to work for the wellness of Mumbai Cricket Association. He was the part of MCA for over nine months.
