Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in six matches back-to-back

Cristiano Ronaldo converted two penalties and Juventus hit back to draw 2-2 with Atalanta. The referee awarded both the penalties for handballs. Referee Giacomelli granted the second one in the last minute. Juventus currently leads Serie A. Ronaldo took his league to tally to 28 goals this season.

Both handballs were accidental. However, under the current rules, referee Piero Giacomelli had to award the penalties.

Juventus is now eight points clear of Lazio. Lazio is currently second-placed with six matches to play. Atalanta stands third. If Atalanta would have been victorious in this match, it would have climbed to the second place. The gap between Juventus and Atalanta then would have been six points.

Ten minutes after the break, Paulo Dybala fired a cross against Marten de Roon’s elbow. The referee granted a penalty and Ronaldo smashed the goal. With this, he scored for the sixth game in a row.

Again, in the 90th minute, Gonzalo Higuain got his foot to a corner, deflecting the ball onto Muriel’s hand. The referee has to award the penalty and Ronaldo scored again.
