The Delhi Capitals (DC) win against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) makes it difficult for them to qualify for the playoffs.

SRH was already out of the race for the playoffs, just as DC also got out of the race after losing the last match on May 13 against PBKS.

PBKS won the last time they played against DC, as this time it was important for them to win to reach the nearby playoffs.

Match Details

The IPL returned to Dharamsala after ten long years as Dharamsala was going to witness the IPL match after a long time.

The final week of IPL 2023 has started, as the 64th match was going to be played at Dharamsala between DC and PBKS.

The Punjab Kings won the toss and elected to field first.

Delhi Capitals (DC) innings

David Warner and Prithvi Shaw opened the inning for them.

They both gave an outstanding start to their teams, hitting great shots and scoring good runs.

Sam Curran broke their partnership as he took the wicket of David.

Shaw soon completed his half-century, and it wasn’t long before he also lost his wicket to Curran.

Rilee Rossouw handled the situation from there as he started to play an important inning.

His 82 runs took DC to a total of 213/2.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) innings

Prabhsimran Singh and Shikhar Dhawan opened the inning for PBKS.

Ishant Sharma, with his experience, took the wicket of Shikhar for a golden duck in the second over.

Prabhsimran and Atharva Taide handled the innings as Prabhsimran lost his wicket.

Atharva and Liam kept the Punjab Kings alive in the game as they were taking the match closer.

They both soon completed their half-centuries, as Atharva declared himself retired.

If a batsman declares himself retired, he can’t come back to bat.

Liam played a great knock of 94 runs as he brought the match closer but wasn’t able to make his team win the match.

DC won the match by 15 runs as Rilee Rossouw was declared the Player of the Match.
