The Indian Cricket Team failed to produce a good start in Australia as they loose their first One Day International by 66 runs on Friday. However, the quality of batting shown by the Australian Team kept the Indian team in pressure as the Aussies registered 374 runs on the board. Shikhar Dhawan and Hardik Pandya went on to give a fight to the Australian team as they both scored half-centuries.

The former captain of the England Cricket Team Michael Vaughan had spoken to Cricbuzz and expressed his views on the current situation of the Indian Cricket Team. He believes that with Hardik Pandya not being able to bowl the team lacks a 6th bowler. he also believes that this Indian team won’t be able to win the World Cup as there least depth in their batting which is a major problem.

Vaughan further said that if he was a part of the selecting team or management of the Indian Cricket Team then the most concerning topic for him would be the 6th and 7th bowling option of the team and to fit in someone to clear the problem of depth batting.

The Former England captain believes that might be time for the World Cup but with this formation of players, India won’t be winning the World Cup.

Further continuing his say he said that till now the selectors would’ve understood through the likes of IPL which player would be suited for which role in the squad. Their bowling options would increase when Hardik starts bowling.

He concluded by saying that if they make certain changes to the structure of the team they might have a chance to emerge victorious on Indian Conditions.

Next up they play against Australia in the 2nd ODI.
