England became the new T-20 World Cup champions after beating Pakistan in a nail-biting final.

The all-time champion of their team, Ben Stokes, brought the Cup home again.

The knock by Ben earlier in the ODI World Cup of 84 runs saved them from losing the Cup to New Zealand.

With Ben knocking off 84 runs, they tied the match, and later England won the Cup by boundary count as the supper also tied.

At the start of the World Cup, England was defeated by Ireland via the D/L method.

They didn’t even have their prime players. Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, and more weren’t able to play.

The English team didn’t lose hope, as they still performed well and brought the World Cup home.

Match Details

England won the toss and elected to bat first.

Pakistan Innings

Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam opened the inning for Pakistan.

They both gave a slow and stable start to their teams, as the pitch was also helping the bowlers.

Sam Curran ended their partnership by bowling Rizwan.

As the first wicket fell, the Pakistani batsmen weren’t able to score many runs.

Jos was using his bowlers nicely, as they were even striking wickets and not letting them score runs.

With the knocks of Babar and Shah Masood of 32 and 38 runs, Pakistan put up a total of 137/8.

England Innings

Jos Buttler and Alex Hales opened the innings for the English team.

Pakistan demonstrated why their pace attack is the best by taking the wicket in the first over.

The bowlers weren’t letting the great England batting lineup take the game easily.

They were giving great competition to the batsmen as they were also taking wickets.

Ben Stokes, coming in to bat, stood strong in the middle as he kept on rotating the strike.

He wasn’t just looking for big shots; instead, he was making the innings and taking the game deep.

Shadab Khan came in and took the wicket of Harry as Shaheen Afridi took the catch.

Shaheen excruciated his knee injury while taking the catch, preventing him from bowling his over.

This was the game-changing moment as the part-time bowlers were smashed with great shots.

England won the Cup thanks to Ben’s game-winning shot.

Sam Curran was chosen as the Player of the Match for his bowling figures of 3/12.

And he was also chosen as the Player of the Tournament for his great performance.
