England crushed Pakistan with a dominant Innings victory and took the lead by 1-0 in the three-match series.
England is on a tour of Pakistan, as they start with an outstanding win in the series.
The first match was played from October 7th–11th, as Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first.
Pakistan first Innings
Abdullah Shafique and Saim Ayub opened the innings for Pakistan.
They weren’t able to give a great start to the team as Gus Atkinson soon took the wicket of Saim.
Shah Masood came in to bat as he and Abdullah started to form an important inning.
They completed their half-centuries, followed by their centuries.
In the middle order, Saud and Salman played great knocks of 82 and 104 runs.
With the knocks by all of them, Pakistan made a huge total of 556 runs.
England first Innings
Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope opened the innings for England.
Naseem Shah didn’t let them settle as he took the wicket of Ollie in the second over.
Joe Root came in to bat as he and Zak formed a short partnership and completed their half-centuries.
Going on, Zak lost his wicket to Shaheen Shah Afridi, then Ben walked into the ground.
He and Joe started to score runs as Joe completed his century and Ben completed his half-century.
Ben later lost his wicket, and Harry Brook came in to bat as Joe completed his 150 runs.
They both started to take on the Innings as Joe completed his double century and Harry completed his century.
Agha Salman broke their partnership as Harry kept on going from one end.
He completed his double century, followed by the triple century.
With his 314 runs and 262 runs by Joe Root England made a huge total of 823 runs.
Pakistan Second Innings
Abdullah and Saim opened the inning as Chris Woakes in the first ball of the inning bowled Abdullah.
The English bowlers, one by one, started to take wickets in frequent intervals of time.
None of the Pakistani batsmen other than Salman and Aamer were able to stand in front of the bowling attack.
They were also not able to stand for long as Pakistan lost all their wickets to a score of just 220 runs.
Jack Leach took four wickets as Brydon and Gus took two wickets each.
